Empowering Southern Oregon Through Generosity
Cascade Family Foundation: Building a Legacy of Giving
Striving to create lasting impact through financial contributions, volunteer efforts, and educational initiatives.
The family and story behind Cascade Family Foundation’s legacy for Southern Oregon
James and Anna have two adult children and one adorable grandchild. Emily and Joey spent many weekends walking in the Grants pass Boatnik parade in Support of Zonta, an organization that supported women in need. They also worked alongside their parents delivering and making beds for single women and their children who have had to leave everything behind for one reason or another. At that time of their lives the family was able to give their time more than their money.
Now, after a lot of work the family is able to give financially as well. More than that James and Anna want to teach their adult children and grandchildren the importance of giving back to others financially as well. As a result the family will benefit as well by teaching the generations to come with an attitude of abundance instead of an attitude of scarcity.
James created the Marie DeHoog Memorial Scholarship at Oregon Tech University to honor his late sister. James sits on the OIT Foundation board and is passionate about helping young adults further their education.
James and Anna both come from military families and are honored to support our active duty military members and Military Veterans. Quilts of Valor is an organization that partners with local Quilt Guilds. The Guild members make quilts which are then presented to military members who have been affected by wartime. The quilt is a way for the local community to say “thank you for your service” to military members who many many times have never heard before.
